  2. Hi Sean-Kristin Gorang here with the SOM Alumni Relations office. I’ll be working this fall on the SOM magazine, Illuminations. It goes into the mail in January. Do you feel up to writing a couple page article on your family’s adventures and what all you’re seeing medicine wise, and doing medically so far? It could be about 1200-1300 words long with a couple of pictures if possible. I would need it by November 1 at latest. Let me know. We could also wait and put something in the June 2013 edition if that works better for you. Been fun following your blog. What infection or disease causes these huge grows on the face? That must be so incredibly painful. You can email me at kristin.gorang@hsc.utah.edu. Thansk!

    • Give me a day or two to think about the offer, Things are busy here at the moment and i want to make sure i can deliver if i commit.
the growths on the heads and faces are mostly fibromas. not infectious, just benign growths. we would remove them when they are pea sized in the states. her they grow and crowd out the air way or mouth starving or suffocating the person. quite sad. the real pain is the disfigurement. most of these people are totally shunned. so far we have booked 180 head and neck cases like these. we screen in the interior in november and should book 2-3 times more there.
I promis to get back to you in the next few days.
      Sean
